Burberry finding ways to grow in a sluggish economy. They are literally cashing in with an increase in revenue from $334 million to $422 million. The most recent ad campaign tapped in on buzz surrounding Control, a dark flick about Joy Division front man Ian Curtis.

The campaign mimics images from the movie and uses the same actors as models. The elite cash in on youth subculture. Is it bullshit that they used Control as the basis for the ad campaign or is paying homage to a rock legend. Kinda struck me as odd when I first read it. Maybe the better question is this. What would Ian Curtis think of a brand like Burberry? And the People that wear it?
