I have eaten A LOT of Mac and Cheese in my day, and I will come right out and say that Mac Bar in New York has some of the worst I have ever had. I really could not believe that a restaurant dedicated to serving only Mac and Cheese could be so bad.
I asked the girl behind the counter what was the best Mac and Cheese on the menu. She told me the Lobster Mac and Cheese and the Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese. I ordered the Lobster and it was no good. The cheese flavor was not there, it was more like hot goo. The pieces of Lobster were generous, but did not taste that great.
A buddy of mine got the Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese. I tasted it and it was no good either. This is my second trip to a Mac and Cheese only restaurant that ended horribly. I don’t know how these places stay in business. I would not recommend Mac Bar to anyone.
