Rachel Roy
Posted by Wkilljoy • Wednesday December 17, 2008

As quoted by style.com:
“Buy now, wear now” is Rachel Roy’s philosophy for pre-fall. No lofty inspirations, just mix-and-match basics for the girl-about-town: a Lurex blazer—so textured it resembled snakeskin—paired with a boldly striped cowl-neck blouse; peg-legged trousers worn with a matching oversize jacket; a pair of sleek silk jumpsuits. Roy’s realistic approach to design—this is a wear-year-round, seasonless collection, she said—should help her bottom line in the current economic climate. And she’s not afraid to lead by example: Roy herself has been photographed in the clothes six months ahead of their delivery date.”
Yeah, she’s the new deal.

Brand Spotlight "Faded Glory"
Posted by Gunner • Wednesday December 10, 2008
I am sure some of you are familiar with Faded Glory. There are known for their basic looks with high quality production. Really going after the Neighboorhood, the Stussy Delux and the Carhart customer.
Vintage looks that are work wear inspired.
They are really taking a step towards the original denim looks with this simplistic 5 pocket. Clean with vintage brass hardware and a light denim wash.
Not Good To Be Harry Winstons Right Now
Posted by Reez • Tuesday December 9, 2008
A couple of Drag Queens knocked of Harry Winston Diamond copr in Pairs. The queens got away with a reported $108 million. Damn… That is some Oceans 11 shit. Serious cake.
Winston stock dropped 11.9% because of the robbery. This will go down as one of the largest jewel heists in history.
Earn a $1 million if you have information that leads to arrest of the robbers. That is some crazy shit.

Slashing Prices
Posted by Reez • Tuesday December 9, 2008
It is not often that you hear retailers of the calibure of Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodmans cutting prices. Not anymore.
Berdorf Goodmans cut prices 70%.
Barneys New York cut prices 60%.
It is tempting to jet over to these establishments and take advantage of these deals but don’t do it. Well at least not yet. Prices will go down further as holiday sales continue to slump.

Etnies Makes Noise In A Recession
Posted by Reez • Friday December 5, 2008
You might ask your self How can my company make noise during a time when retail is at an all time low? Etnies knows how. Go at one of your biggest competitor in a fun and playful way.
Adidas announced they will be cutting costs by eliminating holiday parties. That is a bummer for Adidas employees. Not so fast. In a genius marketing plan Etnies has come forth to pick up the slack for Adidas. They will be throwing a holiday party just for Adidas employees.

Well Played Don Brown.
